Welcome to the traditional Sitsfest organized by the subject associations of the Faculty of Education and Psychology. You are welcomed to attend the event as a student of our faculty, but keep in mind that this Sitsit will be in English!

Sitsfest is a dinner party which includes singing, drinking and eating together. There are a few rules that everyone should follow during the Sitsit. Breaking the rules leads to a punishment ! We will go through the rules at the beginning. At the Sitsit you are supposed to dress according to the theme (rule no. 2), and this time the theme will be your own home country ! So dress yourself so that your costume represents your home country.

We can fit 30 international/exchange students and 14 Finnish students from our whole faculty to the event. As you sign up remember to mention on “ extra information ” whether you’d prefer a vegetarian or a vegan pizza (everyone gets half a pizza). If you have any other allergies/special diets (gluten free or other), remember to mention them also!

The cost of the Sitsit is 5€ and it includes pizza and a place on this once in a lifetime English sitsfest! Make sure to bring your own drinks , because at the Sitsit you will consume a large amount of liquids! There will be drinking during the songs, after the songs and in between the songs so prepare yourself with enough drinks for the four hours of partying. If you are able, please consult the nearest Finnish student/your tutor about the amount of alcohol you should to bring for yourself.

To attend this event, you need to sign up through this sign up sheet. Make sure you use the right link for you (Finnish or international). The registration opens on Mon 8th of October at 12am (12.00) and closes on Mon 15th of October (12am). After the registration closes we will soon send you payment information. If you cannot pay with online money transfer you can pay directly with your debit/credit card or cash beforehand on a date we will set up after sign up closes.

Once you have filled the registration form, you are OBLIGED to pay the participation fee IF YOU DON’T CANCEL your registration before the sign up closes. If you are unable to attend the event, please cancel your registration on time ( before the 15th ) so you won’t be charged. There is also a lineup-system used, so you might get into this event even if you first have to be in line for a while!

WHAT: International Sitsfest!

WHEN: Wednesday 24th of October at 18:00 (6pm) Sitsit will start at 6pm SHARP so come early as the doors will open at 5:45pm. Don't be late (rule no. 1) !

WHERE: @ Boombox in the Musica-building (at Seminaarinmäki)

DRESSCODE: Whatever suits the theme your home country . Use your imagination!
