Equality

It is important to us that every member has the equal rights and opportunities to participate in the association's activities and that the events of Stimulus are safe for all participants. The association takes into account the principles of a safer space, the equality plan and the guidelines in situations of harrasment, which can be found on this page. At the bottom of the page, you will find the contact information for the trusted persons.

The principles of a safer space in Stimulus

Respect

Respect the self-determination of others, such as individuals personal physical and mental space. Do not touch another individual without consent and do not make assumptions about someone else’s gender, background or relationships. Also, remember to ask space for yourself when needed.

Listen

Acknowledge new topics, individuals and points of view without prejudice. Make sure that everyone has the opportunity to participate in the discussion. Do not overpower others’ opinions and remember to give others a chance to speak.

Learn

Take each situation as an opportunity to learn and develop. It is okay to make errors and to ask. Remember that you cannot know someone’s boundaries without asking them.

Intervene

Do not be a bystander if you notice harassment or other inappropriate language, behaviour or treatment.

Apologise
