THE BOARD
The board of Stimulus 2024
The board of Stimulus consists of 14 members, who are responsible for activities and events of the association. You can apply to join the board at the association's meeting in the autumn!
Chairperson is responsible for the operation and legality of the whole organisation and directs the work of the Board and officers.
Vice-chairperson is the right-hand person of the chairperson, who plans and manages the association's activities together with the chairperson
Secretary writes down the meeting minutes of the board meetings and maintains the register of members
Treasurer takes care of the association's finances and submits, among other things, the financial statements.
Head of communications maintains communication between the board and members
Event coordinator also known as “Tapsa’s” (2 persons) organise and run free-time events for members
Corporate relationship managers also known as "Yrkkä’s” (2 persons) are responsible for relations between the association and partnership companies and provide information on, for example, member benefits.
Head of educational politics also known as “Kopo” monitors and promotes the implementation of students' rights and the quality of teaching at the Department of Psychology.
Head of social affairs also known as “Sopo” takes care of matters relating to equality and student welfare in the association
Educational event coordinator organises training sessions and a worklife-evening
Culture coordinator organises diverse culture-events
Sports coordinator organises different kinds of sporting events

actives
The actives are managers, representatives and other trustees. Together with the board of Stimulus they make up teams which are responsible for different divisions. Positions open all year round through Stimulus or other parties. The maximum number of years a person can hold a position is two years. Current holders of these positions as well as their contact information can be found here.
Student members of Keski-Suomen Psykologiyhdistys (KePsy) manage information between Stimulus and KePsy (Central Finland Psychology Association).
Student members of The Faculty Council promote the perspective of students at the Faculty of Education and Psychology.
FPSA representatives are board members of Finnish Psychology Students’ Association (FPSA) and act as a link between Stimulus and FPSA.
Student representatives in education development sectors represent students in the development of education together with the Department of Psychology.

Sustainable development coordinator/Environmental coordinator promotes sustainability in Stimulus, and collects funds for Stimulus’ charity bank account / towards charity.
Excursion coordinator organizes visits to different places of work.
Graphic designer designs Stimulus’ patches, posters for events, and other graphics.
Communications assistant is the right-hand person for Head of Communications, and is in charge of Stimulus’ TikTok account.
Ärsyke’s editor-in-chief organizes and publishes Ärsyke, the student magazine of Stimulus.
Patch representative is in charge of orders and sales of patches.
Operations inspectors inspect accounting and financial statements of Stimulus (, and monitor the functionality of the administration).
Food coordinators organize food service for Stimulus' board meetings and some events.
Assistants of Event Coordinators help Event Coordinators come up with ideas and organize events when needed.
3MIOT coordinator is part of an interdisciplinary team which organizes the monthly 3MIOT events.
Representatives of international affairs organize events for international students. They help bring international and Finnish psychology students together.
Trusted persons act as trustees at events organized by Stimulus. They can be contacted in confidence in cases of inequality, harassment, discrimination and accessibility.

Tutors introduce freshmen to university life and help new psychology students with the beginning of their studies. Tutors are chosen by the university’s Department of Psychology.
